How Great is our God – John 3:16

August 12, 2008 by Praying Heart

Jesus’ words for those who love and follow Him:

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.  You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.”    John 15:13-14

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another;  as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”      John 13:34-35

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.  And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”  John 14:21

Jesus said, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and the great commandment.  And the second is like it:  You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”  Matthew 22:37-40

Balance come from keeping the Proper perspective in life!

I would like to live forever, says Michael Jackson.

October 8, 2009 by Praying Heart

“I would like to live forever,” says Michael Jackson.

In the emotional ballad Advertising Space, Robbie Williams was singing about The King, Elvis Presley.  However, its sentiments ring remarkably true to that of the late Michael Jackson, the indisputable King of Pop.   Although Michael was never much of an Elvis fan, he commented on the superstars tragic downfall and feared he was destined to follow a similar path.  The relevance of the lyrics to MJs amazing, yet turbulent, life are impossible to ignore.

There’s no earthly way of knowing
What was in your heart
When it stopped going
The whole world shook
A storm was blowing through you

Waiting for God to stop this
And up to your neck in darkness
Everyone around you was corrupted
Say somethin’

There’s no dignity in death
To sell the world your last breath
They’re still fighting over
Everything you left

I saw you standing at the gates
When Marlon Brando passed away
You had that look upon your face
Advertising space

And
No one learned from your mistakes
We let our profits go to waste
All that’s left in any case
Is Advertising space

Through your eyes
The world was burning
Please be gentle
I’m still learning
You seemed to say
As you kept turning up

They poisoned you with compromise
At what point did you realise
Everybody loves your life
But you ahahh

Special agent for the man
Through watergate and vietnam
No one really gave a damn
Did you think the CIA did

I saw you standing at the gates
When Marlon Brando passed away
You had that look upon your face
Advertising space

And
No one learned from your mistake
We let our profits go to waste
All that’s left in any case
Is Advertising space ooooohh

I saw you standing at the gates
When Marlon Brando passed away
You had that look upon your face
Advertising space

No one learned from your mistakes
We let our profits go to waste
All that’s left in any case
Is Advertising space

I’ve seen your daughter
Man shes cute
I was scared but I wanted to
Boy she looks a lot like you.

Still, the way Elvis destroyed himself interests me, because I dont ever want to walk those grounds myself from Michaels Jacksons 1988 autobiography, Moonwalker.

If you’re reading this and wondering about how to receive this life that Jesus offers, call out to Him today.  Jesus will hear your heart-filled cries for help and mercy.  He will receive your humble request for forgiveness.  He will give you salvation through His name – He gave His life so you can live in Him.

Walk With JESUS And You’ll Never Walk Alone

October 8, 2009 by Praying Heart

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho’ your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never, ever walk alone.

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never, ever walk alone.

For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

So we may boldly say:

“The LORD is my Helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5-6 / Deut. 31:6,8/ Josh.1:5
