The Compassion of Christ

April 1, 2009

This video lesson was shot on location on the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem.

‘As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, ‘If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.” Luke 19:41-42

Jesus wept as he approached Jerusalem and saw the future of the Jews. He had compassion for those that rejected Him.

Jeroboam: Worship of Convenience

April 1, 2009

This video lesson was shot on location in Dan Nature Park in Israel.

God’s prescribed manner of worship was inconvenient. Today the character of worship in America is convenience. If I can’t find a parking space right in front of the church, I’ll probably go someplace else. That’s not God’s way of worship. Jeroboam lowered God’s standards. He directly disobeyed the rules God had set down for worship. There was a Biblical illiteracy in Israel just as there is today in America. Christ was God’s perfect sacrifice. God’s worship is centered on Jesus and his payment for our sins. God no longer sees our sins–only Christ’s sacrifice.

Psalm 23 – The LORD is my Shepherd

April 1, 2009

This video was shot in the Valley of Elah.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters,

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

ALL SUFFICIENT GOD

February 21, 2009

ALL SUFFICIENT GOD

O lord of grace,

The world is before me this day,

And I am weak and fearful,

But I look to thee for strength;

If I venture forth along I stumble and fall,

But on the Beloved’s arms I am firm as the eternal hills;

If left to the treachery of my heart I shall shame thy name.

But if enlightened, guided, upheld by Thy Spirit,

I shall bring Thee glory.

Be Thou my arm to support, my strength to stand,

and my light to see, my feet to run,

my shield to protect, my sword to repel.

To enrich me will not diminish Thy fullness;

All Thy loving kindness is in Thy Son.

I bring Him to Thee in the arms of faith,

I urge His saving name as the One who died for me.

I plead His blood to pay my debts of wrong,

accept His worthiness for my unworthiness,

His sinlessness for my transgressions,

His purity for my uncleanness,

His sincerity for my guile,

His truth for my deceits,

His meekness for my pride,

His constancy for my backslidings,

His love for my enmity,

His fullness for my emptiness,

His faithfulness for my treachery,

His obedience for my lawlessness,

His glory for my shame,

His holy life for my unchaste ways,

His righteousness for my dead works,

His death for my life.

Jesus take the wheel ~

January 7, 2009

This video shows the purity of heart of this 10 year old girl and reminds me of what God said in His Word in Luke 18:16-17: “But Jesus called the children to Him and said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.'”

Romans 13:11-14

And do this,

knowing the time,

that now it is high time to awake out of sleep;

for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand.

Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness,

and let us put on the armor of light.

Let us walk properly,

as in the day,

not to revelry and drunkenness,

not in lewdness and lust,

not in strife and envy.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ,

and make no provision for the flesh,

to fulfill it’s lusts.

Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depth of the riches

both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

How unsearchable are His judgments

and His ways past finding out!

For who has known the mind of the LORD?

Or who has become His counselor?

Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him?

For if Him and through Him and to Him are all things,

to whom be glory forever.

Amen

 Romans 12: 1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren,

by the mercies of God,

that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,

holy, acceptable to God,

which is your reasonable service.

And do not be conformed to this world,

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
