Psalm 23 – The LORD is my Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Crushed: The Price That Jesus Paid For Our Sins

Jesus take the wheel ~

This video shows the purity of heart of this 10 year old girl and reminds me of what God said in His Word in Luke 18:16-17: “But Jesus called the children to Him and said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.'”

Bringing in the New Year with Roby Duke – “Beautiful Savior”

This time of the year our fellowship at Cornerstone Ministries in Napa,  has looked forward to having Roby Duke lead us in the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ as we finish out the old year and bring in the new.

This year Roby is worshipping around Jesus’ throne face to face with God. We look forward to soon being in sweet fellowship once again as we lay our crowns down at the feet of Jesus and sing together with the angels in sweet harmony in worship and praise of our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Prayer of Repentance for Our Nation

Holy God we humble ourselves in repentance and call out to You for mercy

Holy God in Heaven,

Please humble our nation that we may know that You alone are God so that we may draw close to You in repentance that You may have mercy upon our nation – may Your will be done:

 Isaiah 5:20 says: 

‘Woe to those who call good evil and evil good,

who put darkness for light and light for darkness,

who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter,’

but that is exactly what our nation has done.  

Because of our sin we have lost our spiritual equilibrium

and reversed our values: 

 when we exploit the poor and call it the lottery – 

when we promote unproductive lives and call it welfare – 

when we support abortion, the death of a precious baby in the womb and call it a woman’s own personal choice – 

when we agree with those who hate and kill abortionists and call it justifiable –  

when we neglect to lovingly discipline our children and call it building their self esteem –  

when we allow the abuse of power in our government by false representation and empty promises and call it politics – 

when we covet our neighbor’s possessions and positions and call it ambition –  

when we pollute the air with profanity and pornography and call it freedom of expression –  

when we ridicule the Biblical  values of our forefathers who have been used by God to build the foundatin of our free nation and call it enlightenment – 

Holy God, please ‘Search us, and know our hearts;

test us and know our anxious thoughts –

See if there is any offensive way in us,

and lead us in the way everlasting.’

Psalm 139: 23-24

Jesus says: “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

Matthew 4:17

Holy God, may we listen to You speak to us and repent!

In Jesus’ name!

Amen.

Praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD, O my soul.

I will praise the LORD all my life;

I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

Do not put your trust in princes,

in mortal men, who cannot save.

When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;

On that very day their plans come to nothing.

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,

whose hope is in the LORD his God,

the Maker of heaven and earth,

the sea and everything in them:

the LORD, who remains faithful forever.

He upholds the cause of the oppressed
